关于枫木背侧板的Stenzel吉他,Stenzel先生这么解释:
I have built several maple guitars in the last years, and I am very fond of them. The maple seems to accentuate the typical "Stenzel-sound". In the hand of a player who really is capable to controll the tone, I think they maybe even surpass my rosewood guitars in beauty of sound and richness of colours. To compensate an eventual lack of power and too light a timbre, my maple guitars have a stronger domed back. It works well. Unfortunately, I am running low on well seasoned maple back and sides, and it is very difficult this time to find good maple wood.
I use only the best maple from Bosnia or from the alps, not the cheap stuff from Rumania or elsewhere. Bosnian maple was the preferred choice of Stradivari and his collegues.
I can encourage every good player to order my guitar in maple, but I woud not recommend it to a beginner, unless it is someone especially gifted in sound production.
